The town of Candás, capital of the Carreño council, has earned a reputation as a fishing village, with an economy and people always linked to the world of fishing and the sea.The purpose of this initiative is the promotion of the marine cultural heritage of this town, through the definition and promotion of educational and pedagogical itineraries based on the trades of the sea.There are several artistic samples related to the past sailor of the village, and that over the years, have been placed in different points: From the murals that make up the "Museum of Paintings Outdoors" of Candás, passing for the statue of "La Marinera" by Antón, which is a visual landmark in the wharf of Candás, which represents the fisherman, the work of Amancio González. All these existing cultural facilities will be part, along with the statue "Tribute to the redera", which is intended to install in this town, the cultural educational itinerary "The crafts of the Sea of Candás" that is presented here.
